The interaction within this group was really impressive and all the participants learned the steps in a short time. The next day, on August 12th the activities started with the bicycle ride in the center of Tirana promoting the SDGs with the participation of many young people from above mentioned organizations and general population which wanted to be part of the activity and enjoyed the meaning of it.
After this, the Ministry has organized a workshop in the premises of Tirana Youth Centre, with the participation of different donors, international representatives that work on youth related issues and policies, etc. YMCA was responsible for the organization of Flash-mob and the distribution of messages, leaflets to people staying at Parku Rinia. So while the workshop was being hold, we started the preparation of the place, placing the DJ supplies in the park and starting to play some music in order to call the attention of people around.
After the workshop ending, part of people participated in it, came and started to get involved in our activity, learning by other young the steps of the performance and creating the cycle. A group of young people came from Kosovo showed really interest in the activity and started to play the steps with our group; other people, including roma young girls became part of our dancing group. Beside the fact that the performance was no so perfect, the most interesting, amazing and joyful thing was the collaboration and the filling of teaching to each other the steps for a better, synchronized and full performance of the flash-mob, acting as a one group.
There were about 60 persons that day, came from different public institutions interns and volunteers of our organization and collaborators. The atmosphere was really nice and everyone felt really engaged and learned fast. Some of these volunteers helped the young people next day to learn and to make them feel part of the group, during the flash-mob in Tirana Rinia Park. Volunteers and activists of both organizations, were firstly informed on this day activity, the meaning of it, what kind of activities would be organized and what their role would be.
In the mean time they were known with IEC materials they would distribute, in order to have answers on possible questions that vacationers and people would have asked. The activity began at AM with the opening of banderol, placed in a position that everybody could see and all activists wearing the t-shirt of the campaign started to distribute IEC materials β the leaflet and SDGs booklet prepared by ACPD.
