She was born in the UK and received a private education from age four. British boarding school was extremely tough and without those years, she would not have survived life in the business sector of London for twenty years. She is widely travelled. For many years she has lived in the Caribbean and claims that the view from her home is probably the most splendid view in the world.
Her interests are many and invlude language and literature, the welfare of children and the politics shaping Black history. Claudia writes popular fiction with settings in the UK, the Caribbean and Africa. Francis contributed several feature articles in this book and is named as one of the assistant editors.
