Yes its true, everyone is in the nude and the showers are mixed. Once you get over the initial shock, you can relax and enjoy it. My wife had a great massage. I tried to stay in the sauna as long as possible with frequent trips to the cold plunge pool and a cold coke. We both left fresh, healthy and envigorated. Sauna Deco is a beautiful spa with a charming old style. Modesty has no place here as it's fully nude and mix.
Even the changing room is mix so if you have issues, this isn't the place to be. Honestly most people get past that after a short time even if you are not use to it. Walking around you can use your towel to cover, but when using the facilities you are either sitting on it or it's hung up outside. It's small, from the sauna and steam rooms only one of each , to the pool and sun area.
There are some reading areas that make it feel larger which is a nice change. Still the facilities are large enough to enjoy and they never allow it to become crowded.
They only charge 20 euros for two hours, you can pay extra for more time and that includes a towel less if you bring your own , you can walk around in your bare feet or bring your own flip flops. You can buy beverages and I think some snacks, which they will charge you for as you leave.
The staff is friendly and helpful, the facilities are clean and well maintained. I can't think of a better way to spend two hours in Amsterdam. If you want to get away from the tourist buzz of the more crowded streets of Amsterdam and de-stress, then pay a visit to this well appointed spa. It's discreetly situated on a beautiful canal and very welcoming.
